About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing work safely and in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards. This role involves working with Hydraulic Industrial Electrical systems, understanding and adhering to all safety requirements, troubleshooting equipment, and performing preventative maintenance without supervision. The technician will also communicate with upper management as needed, be proficient with all measuring and hand tools, and be able to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and hard copy PLC programs. The position requires the skills to troubleshoot equipment both electrically and mechanically, understand and follow directions from supervisors, and possess basic computer skills. A key aspect of the role is executing, promoting, and working safely throughout the facility by following all Safety Policies, wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), being aware of emergency exits and procedures, knowing the location and proper use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and never operating equipment or performing work without proper training and authorization. Following proper LOTO (lock out/tag out) procedures, never removing or bypassing machine guards while the machine is in operation, being cautious of lift trucks and moving equipment, and reporting all injuries or accidents immediately are also critical. The role also involves understanding and following plant housekeeping guidelines and identifying and implementing lean and continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

Experience with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
Working with Hydraulic Industrial Electrical systems.
Understanding and adhering to all safety requirements.
Trouble shooting equipment.
Performing PMs without supervision.
Proficient with all measuring tools.
Proficient with all hand tools.
Able to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, hard copy PLC programs.
Skills to electrically and mechanically trouble shoot equipment.
Skills to understand and follow directions from supervisor.
Basic computer skills.
Executing, promoting, and working safely throughout the facility following all Safety Policies.
Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Awareness of all Emergency Exits and knowing procedures for Emergency Evacuation as well as location.
Knowing the location of the SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly.
Knowing not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to do complete the task safely.
Always following proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures.
Never remove or bypass machine guards and NEVER while the machine is in operation.
Being cautious and aware of lift trucks and moving equipment.
Reporting all injuries or accidents to the Department Lead or Manager or immediately.
