About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the employee handbook and IATF 16949 Instructions are followed. This role ensures adherence to the PPE policy and 5s principles. The technician will gain and maintain a complete understanding of all production related jobs, production requirements, standard work, and other tasks as instructed by their supervisor. This position contributes to building a positive team spirit, prioritizing team success, and building morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required.
  • Knowledge in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or reading blueprints required.
  • Must be able to operate, understand, and transfer knowledge of all machinery and equipment.
  • Strong reading, mathematical, and communication skills required.
  • Lock Out/Tag Out certification required.
  • Certification on all Powered Industrial Equipment from company will be required.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Ensure that the employee handbook is being followed.
  • Follow all IATF 16949 Instructions.
  • Ensure adherence to PPE policy and 5s principles.
  • Gain and maintain a complete understanding of all production related jobs, production requirements, standard work, and other tasks which may be instructed to perform by your supervisor.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit, putting the success of the team above own interest and able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
  • Act as First Response for first aide or emergency situations.
  • Ensure the use of safe procedures and standard work.
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery is operational and in good working order.
  • Understand lockout tagout location on machines and grinders.
  • Analyze and repair all manufacturing equipment including, but not limited to, plastic blow molding, injection molding, and ancillary equipment.
  • Understand and perform processes on machines to ensure machine efficiencies.
  • Utilize root cause analysis to determine and correct machine issues.
  • Perform basic problem solving using the understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
  • Teach and transfer knowledge of mechanical aptitude to others.
  • Promote safety in the workplace by assuring all electrical and mechanical guards and other safety devices are working and in place.
  • Promote quality manufacturing by ensuring all quality testing and inspections are completed.
  • Complete all assigned PM’s and work orders.
  • Maintain 5s in work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
