About The Position

Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds at Manor Vail Lodge, an iconic property in Vail. The lodge offers studio, one, two, and three-bedroom condominiums, luxury penthouses, and full-service amenities including pools, hot tubs, a spa, fitness center, and on-site dining. It is conveniently located near Vail Village, Golden Peak ski area, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Ford Amphitheater. Manor Vail Lodge is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Minimum Computer skills needed.
Basic pool & spa knowledge and CPO certification is required.
Good written communication skills.
Basic fire alarm & fire sprinkler knowledge.
Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Resolves guest’s problems and handles all guest requests.
Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and performs all necessary repairs. Completes work order requests and puts them in HotSos.
Performs preventative maintenance inspections and maintains logs in an organized manner.
Completes duty rounds checklists, reports, and corrects noted problems.
Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems (training provided). Addresses safety issues.
Performs swimming pool chemical tests, makes corrections, and has a working knowledge of pool equipment (training provided).
Completes arrival inspections.
Completes landscape property clean-up including snow shovel/plow/blowing in the winter and assists with watering plants in the summer.
Completes basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
Completes basic drywall repairs and painting.
Completes light carpentry work.
Manages basic TV, AV & Internet programming.
Handles basic HVAC PM’s & repairs.
Works in a cooperative work environment, which focuses on trusting relationships, ethics, dignity, maximum productivity and team member morale.
Drives a company vehicle (requires a clean driving record).
