About The Position
Family Dollar is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain equipment and facilities at its fast-paced, automated distribution center in Ashley, Indiana. Technicians construct, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, machinery, structures, and electrical systems. The team performs preventive maintenance and routine and emergency repairs throughout the building, working together with a focus on safety. This is a full-time, third-shift position working Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The role offers varied daily work and potential for career growth.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and/or installation.
- Mechanical, electrical, controls, and networking troubleshooting skills.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and mathematical abilities.
- Ability to use welding equipment, hand and power tools, and electrical motors.
- PC literacy and familiarity with Internet-based software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to periodically lift up to 70 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with conveyor and/or sortation equipment.
- Warehouse or distribution-center background.
