About The Position
Sumitomo is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves keeping plant machinery and mechanical systems in good working order with limited supervision and technical guidance. The technician will perform troubleshooting and problem-solving for various manufacturing machines. No prior manufacturing maintenance experience is required.
Requirements
- Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
- General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.+
Nice To Haves
- Preventive industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with CNC grinding, machining equipment, or HVAC
Responsibilities
- Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
- May occasionally make replacement parts
- Clean filters and general PM on coolant systems and mist collection components
- Changing or adding oils and lubricants to production equipment
- General cleaning and organization of tools and maintenance area
- May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
