About The Position

AAMCI-Management, Inc. in Maryville, TN is looking to hire a full-time Property Maintenance Technician to preserve the long-term value and desirability of our community. This general handyman position earns a competitive wage of $18 - $20/hour depending on experience. Chartered in 1972, we are a residential property management company with the sole purpose of managing multifamily housing with a focus on low and moderate-income developments. We manage over 4,000 units in the Midwest and Southeast. In addition, we invest in multifamily housing and are involved in development utilizing the low-income housing tax credit program. Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general handyman work
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Mechanically inclined, reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work well as part of a property management team
  • Attentive to safety

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that residents have safe, comfortable apartments in good repair and that they are happy with the level of service that they receive.
  • Promptly address any concerns that arise in the apartments of current residents and make the appropriate handyman repairs.
  • Make apartments move-in ready for the next resident within 5 days of the vacancy.
  • Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, and inventories.
  • Assist the manager with apartment inspections.
  • Participate in on-call emergency rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community.
