About The Position

The Maintenance Technician assists with aviation maintenance tasks in accordance with company maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations. The role supports aircraft movement, washing, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, while maintaining a clean work area and promoting a professional, ethical work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and an insurable record under Empire’s policy.
Computer literacy and strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate hand and power tools for minor repair work.
Adherence to the company’s FAA/DOT-required Drug and Alcohol Program.

Responsibilities

Perform aircraft push-backs from the gate and assist maintenance personnel in moving aircraft to and from hard stand parking.
Assist maintenance personnel with nightly aircraft exterior washes and nightly engine compressor and turbine washes.
Assist maintenance personnel in maintaining and repairing airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communications and navigation equipment, and other components in accordance with company and manufacturer maintenance policies and procedures.
Assist maintenance personnel with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
