Requirements

Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment and piping/electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
- Visually inspects machinery and support equipment prior to use.
- Test machinery and supporting equipment after repair and prior to use.
- Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause.
- Listens for unusual sounds.
- Feels for unusual vibration.
- Communicates with users regarding variation specifics.
- Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus (transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components) of machinery and supporting equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure(s) of the establishment.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill and milling machinery to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
