Requirements

Must be able to attain and maintain required certification for the HAZMAT entry team
Must be able to attain and maintain a boiler license and complete document OSHA checks of internal boilers

Responsibilities

Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system
Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure, chilled water, and plant temperatures
Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause
Listens for unusual sounds
Feels for unusual vibration
Communicate with users regarding what was observed or smelled
Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
Monitors facility temperatures and makes adjustments as necessary
Must be able to attain and maintain required certification for the HAZMAT entry team
Must be able to attain and maintain a boiler license and complete document OSHA checks of internal boilers
Other duties as assigned
