About The Position

Bachoco USA delivers high-quality chicken products to the U.S. market through integrated operations. We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Fort Smith, AR location to monitor and organize the department for efficient and effective production according to schedule, specifications, food safety, and employee safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Timesheet program, E-mail program, and Spreadsheet software.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training (if not holding a Bachelor's Degree).

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, leads, and manages employees to ensure efficient and effective department operations.
  • Monitors production equipment and performance through visual observation, hands-on inspection, and data analysis to maintain high-quality production, adhering to product specifications and food safety standards.
  • Monitors and controls employee performance, ensuring proper work techniques, quality products, and compliance with company policies.
  • Oversees product quality and production output.
  • Handles employee relations, including counseling and discipline when necessary.
  • Ensures employees receive proper training on job duties and company procedures.
  • Works with specific production areas such as Debone, Bone shoulder cutters, skin table, frame line, and bone checkers.
  • Communicates with superintendent, leads, and employees regarding any issues or production details.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
