About The Position

This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on machines and equipment. The role involves reading work orders, prioritizing tasks, assisting with new machinery installation, adhering to safety regulations, and training newer employees. A strong emphasis is placed on preventive maintenance and problem-solving.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Pass Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Test
• Very strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
• Capable of recognizing different approaches to different situations
• Strong communication and leadership qualities
• Capable of identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Investigate why/how something went wrong or the ability to find additional information that wasn’t originally provided
• Apply the essence of how one decision could affect another aspect and configure the best solution
• Capable of dealing with various personality types
• High level of initiative

Nice To Haves

• Previous mechanical and electrical experience in the printing and/or thermoforming industry preferred
• Tow motor experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
• Prioritize different assignments based on how important the problem is and what order tasks should be done in.
• May help with installation with new machinery.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations. Take strong caution around the press.
• Help demonstrate and teach newer employees on proper machine usage and correct safety measures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
• Other duties as assigned
