About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs and continuous improvement. This role involves working with PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, and other electrical components to improve overall plant automation efforts. The technician will perform general maintenance on all equipment, assist in the implementation of new equipment and improvements, and ensure thorough work with follow-through on repairs. Communication with other maintenance personnel and line workers is key to solving equipment issues and implementing sustainable solutions. The role requires diagnosing failed components and safely working with voltages up to 480V, including the proper use of a digital voltmeter (DVM). Coordination of equipment updates and operational issues with off-shift personnel and team members is also a responsibility. Attending outside training and seminars for continual education is expected.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals required.
  • Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
  • Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
  • Perform thorough work and follow-through on repairs through feedback from internal customers.
  • Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
  • Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
  • Properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
  • Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
  • Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.
