About The Position

Hassle Free Home Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician to facilitate home maintenance services in members’ homes. The technician handles routine maintenance tasks, responds to client requests, and proactively identifies potential issues so homes are consistently cared for to a high standard. The role involves completing scheduled maintenance and repairs, communicating with members, subcontractors, and the support team, and documenting work and follow-up needs after each visit. The company offers professional development and opportunities to advance into leadership roles. The position is based in the Long Island (Syosset), New York region.

Requirements

Background in residential home building and/or maintenance as a seasoned handyman or maintenance professional.
Knowledge of basic home maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
Ability to independently troubleshoot household issues and solve problems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort with technology, including basic computer skills, email, and the company’s proprietary software.

Responsibilities

Complete scheduled maintenance and repairs for members’ homes in a timely and high-quality manner.
Interact with members, subcontractors, and the support team to provide updates and instructions regarding maintenance needs.
Provide clearly documented reports after each visit summarizing completed work and any necessary follow-up.
Develop skills through professional development and pursue opportunities to advance into leadership roles.
