About The Position

National Church Residences is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Shenendehowa Village, a 50-unit senior apartment community in Clifton Park, New York. The role supports the organization’s vision to advance better living and care for seniors. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week, with required 24/7 on-call availability—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—to respond to maintenance emergencies. A monthly mobile phone allowance is provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of residential or apartment maintenance experience.
Skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Technical or vocational training.
Relevant certifications, such as HVAC or OSHA.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner.
Maintain interior and exterior common areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
Complete minor carpentry, painting, appliance, and general repairs.
Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff, when applicable.
Manage inventory and submit maintenance records and reports.
Comply with all safety regulations and building codes.
Respond to maintenance emergencies during required on-call periods.
