Midwood Investment & Development is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA (15222) at The Cork Factory and Lot 24. There are approximately 400 units at these two properties located in The Strip District. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC and/or carpentry
  • Basic familiarity with computers and tablets
  • Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic computer and tablet skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Availability for occasional on-call work.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school or college degree is a plus! But not required
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC and/or carpentry is a plus.
  • Trade school or college degree in a related field is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Completion of Apartment Turns (Basic Plumbing, Electrical, Drywall Repair, Painting, Appliance Repair/Replacement)
  • Completion of Resident Work Orders (Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)
  • Maintain grounds through trash management and landscaping
  • Completion of special projects
  • Rotation of on-call schedule
  • Snow Removal during Winter Months
  • Respond to resident work orders for plumbing, electrical, appliances, and other maintenance issues.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents, including basic plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, and appliance installation.
  • Maintain the property grounds, including trash management and minor landscaping tasks.
  • Take on special projects as needed.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent after-hours needs.
  • Handle snow removal during winter months.
