About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operation of our rubber calendering manufacturing equipment in Mansfield, Texas. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on production machinery, plant utilities, and support systems. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working in a fast-paced operation where uptime, safety, and product quality matter.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of maintenance technician experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, plastics, rubber, converting, or similar production environments preferred.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial controls.
  • Ability to use multimeters, hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent repairs, and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • technical training or trade school certification preferred
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, sensors, and control panels preferred.
  • Welding, fabrication, machining, or pipefitting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on rubber calendering lines and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mixers, mills, calenders, conveyors, roll systems, drives, motors, pumps, compressors, and plant utility systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to reduce downtime.
  • Support machine setup, changeovers, alignment, and installation of new or upgraded equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Work safely with lockout/tagout procedures and maintain compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
  • Document completed work, parts used, and equipment history in maintenance logs or CMMS systems.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and supervisors to prioritize repairs and improve equipment reliability.
  • Monitor spare parts needs and help maintain organized maintenance inventory.
  • Assist with facility maintenance as needed, including electrical distribution, HVAC support, compressed air systems, and general building upkeep.
