About The Position

The Maintenance Technician role at Oak Island Accommodations is responsible for ensuring the needs of owners and tenants are met and that properties are well-maintained. This position involves performing basic home repairs on a daily basis, including troubleshooting, and addressing issues related to plumbing, carpentry, locks, HVAC, pools, drywall, appliances, and electrical systems. The technician will also assist Property Managers, owners, and guests as needed. Key responsibilities include recording and submitting completed work orders to the lead maintenance technician daily, ensuring proper notations on all work orders, especially regarding any required follow-up, and performing other duties as assigned.

Obeys all applicable Federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Able to keep an accurate inventory of work vehicle/stock
Ability to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Work to ensure owners and tenants needs are met and homes are maintained.
Perform basic home repairs on a daily basis (i.e. troubleshooting, basic plumbing, carpentry, locks, HVAC, pool, dry wall repair, appliances, electrical, etc).
Assist Property Managers, owners and guests as needed.
Record and remit completed work orders to the lead maintenance technician at the end of each work day.
Make proper notations on all work orders, particularly if additional follow up is required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
