Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position is based primarily in our Plywood Assembly operation and supports other Vermont facilities as needed. You'll work on a variety of equipment and systems, helping minimize downtime, improve productivity, and support a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This role focuses on maintaining and improving the performance of manufacturing equipment while minimizing downtime and supporting production goals.

Requirements

  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or a related field
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLC operation and programming

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete emergency repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Replace components, test equipment, and make adjustments for safe operation
  • Assist with installation and startup of new equipment
  • Read work orders and document maintenance activities
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies
  • Support workplace safety initiatives and environmental compliance
  • Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and efficient
