This role is for the MECHANICAL / MACHINE REPAIR- 2nd Shift. The technician will install, maintain, and repair complex machinery, machine tools, and powered equipment. They will diagnose and rebuild mechanical components, fabricate or machine replacement parts as needed. Responsibilities include welding, rigging, and equipment alignment, as well as executing preventive maintenance and mechanical system upgrades. Xylem's products impact public utilities, industrial sectors, residential areas, and commercial buildings, with a commitment to providing smart metering, network technologies, and advanced analytics for water, electric, and gas utilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in one or more skilled trade disciplines within a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Proficient use of tools and test equipment relevant to area of expertise.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes (NEC, ASME, OSHA, EPA, etc.) as appropriate to the trade.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Must be able to work various shifts or overtime as needed to support production and maintenance needs.
