About The Position

AIR Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician to work at Denim Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role uses technology and organized maintenance processes to help residents efficiently, whether preparing apartments for move-in or completing service requests. Responsibilities vary with the technician’s skills, community needs, mechanical systems, and seasonality. The position is regular employment and pays $23–$25 per hour, with compensation based on skills and experience.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a facilities or building environment.
Proficient skills in at least two technical trades, such as plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, or carpentry.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks depending on community needs and seasonality, and on-call shifts at least one week per month.
Reliable transportation to respond to after-hours emergency service requests while on call.
Ability and willingness to move heavy equipment and machinery.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Detail-oriented problem-solving approach and pride in fixing things correctly the first time.
Commitment to customer satisfaction, a strong work ethic, comfort with technology, and ability to contribute as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent service to residents and assist team members.
Complete basic apartment turns according to AIR’s process so apartments are ready for incoming residents.
With general direction, complete resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing or replacing plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances.
May provide functional or technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support their technical development.
May assist with managing vendor quality and perform move-in and move-out inspections.
