Maintenance Technician 1- Overnight Shift
About The Position
The third shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of food processing and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a high level of performance, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and a sense of urgency when inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment. The technician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining food safety, quality, and operational standards through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Availability to work Monday through Friday 10:00pm-6:00am
- Minimum High School diploma
- 1 to 3 years industrial maintenance experience
- Demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy and alertness
- Able to lift 50 lbs intermittently
- Good industrial electrical knowledge.
- Good knowledge of the proper use of the tools of the trade
Responsibilities
- Operates at level of apprentice with sense of urgency to learn all plant processing/packaging equipment issues.
- Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics on plant processing/packaging equipment.
- Maintains proper documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Complies with company safety, quality, standard operating procedures (SOP) and HACCP guidelines.
