As a Maintenance Technician at IPLS, you will perform preventative maintenance, respond to daily priorities within the maintenance department, identify potential equipment problems and correct them, maintain equipment in a manner that does not impede the production process, prepare plant equipment and facilities for production, respond to equipment failures or facilities problems in a timely and professional manner, inform the manager or lead when critical replacement parts are used from inventory, troubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective action, identify equipment problems promptly and accurately, implement contingency plans for keeping production running, maintain work areas to keep them free of trip hazards and other safety issues, ensure tools and auxiliary equipment are returned to their proper place after a job or project is completed or after a mold change is complete, clean the machinery as necessary, and comply with safety standards. Lockout/tagout procedures are always followed, and OSHA safety standards are always complied with. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Maintenance Technician or related field. (Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Injection Mold design and processing, preferably in the plastics industry.
  • Ability to work with a variety of outside contractors.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety and Quality Standards.

  • General computer skills.
  • Crane operations.
  • General maintenance skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work at heights.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician in the plastics industry is preferred.
  • Injection Mold is a plus.
