About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will respond safely and efficiently to maintenance and repair needs for equipment and machinery. This role ensures that safety is always the number one priority by promoting and supporting a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture through adherence to all safety programs and guidelines. All processes and procedures will be conducted in accordance with department guidelines. The technician will coordinate and schedule repairs with the area supervisor and communicate the repair schedule to all affected employees. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, planning, and executing repairs, as well as locating, identifying, and preparing necessary parts. The role also involves providing support and training to less experienced team members, writing detailed preventative maintenance procedures, developing preventative maintenance schedules, and thoroughly documenting all repairs. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area using the 5S system is also a key duty. As a member of the maintenance team, the technician will act as an “emergency coordinator,” responding immediately to workplace accidents to tend to involved tools and equipment.

Write detailed preventative maintenance procedures and develop preventative maintenance schedules
Document all repairs thoroughly
Follow all safety programs and policies
Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)
As a member of the maintenance team, act as “emergency coordinator” - respond immediately to any workplace accidents that arise to tend to the tools and equipment involved
