About The Position

Gorman is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for Sunlight Crossing, a 90-unit workforce housing and market-rate community in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The role focuses on completing property maintenance and repairs, maintaining apartments and shared spaces, supporting resident needs, and keeping the property safe, clean, and well presented. The technician may be assigned routine and emergency maintenance requests and must be able to participate in an on-call emergency rotation.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or a related trade.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, basic HVAC, and appliance repair.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
Ability to participate in the on-call emergency rotation schedule.
Strong customer service skills and a resident-first mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal certification.

Responsibilities

Complete daily maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and appliances.
Maintain the property's exterior and complete seasonal tasks such as fall cleanup and snow removal.
Conduct daily property walks to help keep the community clean, safe, and well maintained.
Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
Communicate with vendors and contractors.
