About The Position

Gorman is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for Sunlight Crossing, a 90-unit workforce housing and market-rate community in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The technician performs property maintenance and repairs, prepares vacant apartments for new residents, maintains the buildings and grounds, and responds to assigned maintenance requests. The role participates in an on-call emergency rotation.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or a related trade.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, basic HVAC, and appliance repair.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
Ability to participate in the on-call emergency rotation schedule.
Strong customer service skills and a resident-first mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
HVAC-EPA Type II certification or EPA Universal certification.

Responsibilities

Complete daily maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and appliances.
Maintain the property's exterior and complete seasonal preparation, including fall cleanup and snow removal.
Perform daily property walks to keep the community clean, safe, and well maintained.
Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
Communicate with vendors and contractors.
