About The Position
Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, focused on the execution of our strategy to “Expand Beyond” our core business. As a part of Nucor’s New Markets product group, NTS is focused on the exciting growth potential in the power distribution market. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to be actively engaged in supporting a new team that takes ownership over safety, electrical, and mechanical maintenance functions of the Towers and Structures facility. The Maintenance Technician will support a production line at our West Hazleton, PA location. The Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing assets, creating predictive and preventive maintenance process in our computerized maintenance management system(CMMS), coordinating equipment installations across departments, manage critical spares, safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment, process improvement, and operation support. The Maintenance team supports plant operations while working closely with all other departments in planning future needs and/or improvements. This position must help drive continuous improvements in safety, process efficiency and plant automation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to demonstrate willingness/ability to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- 5 years experience in Industrial maintenance
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge in mechanical and hydraulic processes
- Knowledge in the electrical field
- Experience with Allen Bradley ac drives
- Knowledge in programmable logics controls
- Experience with Microsoft office programs: Word and Excel
- Willingness to expand and share technical knowledge
- Experience with maintenance planning in D365
