About The Position

Farbman Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Onsite Maintenance Technician for an assigned commercial property. The position performs routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep the property safe, functional, and well maintained for tenants and staff. The technician responds to tenant requests and maintenance emergencies, monitors building systems, and coordinates with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are needed. The role also involves maintaining accurate work and equipment records, keeping tools and work areas organized, following safety procedures and applicable building codes, and communicating with the property manager and supervisor.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial property maintenance or a related field.
Working knowledge of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide professional service to tenants.
Ability to perform physical maintenance duties, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of building systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building issues.
Complete general repairs, including painting, drywall, carpentry, and door hardware.
Respond promptly to tenant service requests and maintenance emergencies.
Monitor building systems and report issues requiring additional attention.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
Maintain accurate records of completed work, equipment status, and supplies.
Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in good condition.
Follow safety procedures and applicable building codes.
Communicate regularly with the property manager and supervisor regarding maintenance needs and completed work.
