About The Position

Hobart Filler Metals is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (Monday – Friday, 10 PM – 6 AM). In this role, you will partner closely with the lead technician and operators daily, focusing on machinery repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operations. Requirements

3-5 years maintenance experience required in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with measurement, layout, drilling, reaming, threading, welding, and cutting.
Understand mechanical drive systems and bearing maintenance/replacement.
Capable of reading mechanical schematics and prints.
Able to use test and measurement equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
Electrical troubleshooting and repair expertise.
Able to read electrical schematics and prints.
Skilled in using test and measurement equipment such as multimeters.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems.
Willing to pursue further education, especially regarding electrical control systems.
Strong pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
Logical thinking to analyze cause-and-effect situations.
Capacity to address several issues or problems simultaneously.
Able to work at heights using proper equipment.
Team player with an excellent attitude.
Self-directed and able to work with little direct supervision.

Nice To Haves

2- year Electronics degree (preferably electro-mechanical), preferred.
