About The Position

Hobart Filler Metals is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (Monday – Friday, 10 PM – 6 AM). In this role, you will partner closely with the lead technician and operators daily, focusing on machinery repairs and preventative maintenance. You will be an essential part of a supportive team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment. Requirements

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Experience with measurement, layout, drilling, reaming, threading, welding, and cutting
Understanding of mechanical drive systems and bearing maintenance/replacement
Ability to read mechanical schematics and prints
Proficiency in using test and measurement equipment such as calipers and micrometers
Expertise in electrical troubleshooting and repair
Ability to read electrical schematics and prints
Skilled in using test and measurement equipment such as multimeters
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems
Strong pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills
Logical thinking to analyze cause-and-effect situations
Capacity to address several issues or problems simultaneously
Ability to work at heights using proper equipment
Team player with an excellent attitude
Self-directed and able to work with little direct supervision
3-5 years maintenance experience required in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

Willingness to pursue further education, especially regarding electrical control systems
2-year Electronics degree (preferably electro-mechanical)
