About The Position

We are hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician. The Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform general production, packaging, quality and research and development (R&D) equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure the site meets cGMP and OSHA compliance. This employee is the on-site contact person for contractors and provides works including, but not limited to second shift, third shift on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned. They also respond to emergency production and packaging equipment troubleshooting needs. This position will work 3rd shift 9pm-5:30am. The training will be on 1st shift for the first few months of employment.

Requirements

  • HS. Diploma or equivalent, with trade school and/or formal training on equipment mechanics.
  • 5+ years’ work experiences in general facility production and packaging equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance System.
  • Proficiency of Windows including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical, mechanical diagrams and equipment manuals.
  • Ability to work independently with no supervision.
  • Valid CA Driver License and good driving record
  • Understand mechanical and electrical
  • Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO 9001/EN46001.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Technician with equipment PLC experiences is a plus.
  • Equipment PLC experiences is a plus.
  • Experience of working in GMP environment.
  • Previous experiences in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Biotechnology industries are pluses.
  • Knowledge of Equipment PLC operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Documenting production equipment maintenance and repairs records in Computerized Maintenance System (CMS).
  • Installing/maintaining/repairing/tuning/troubleshooting production and packaging equipment per planned schedule and work request.
  • Evaluating equipment to identify and correct reasons for malfunctions.
  • Repair production and packaging equipment.
  • Requisitioning new supplies and equipment, as needed.
  • May construct or fabricate parts from drawings or written instructions.
  • Coordinating vendors and contractors as required.
  • Moving equipment to meet operational needs.
  • Responding to production, packaging, quality and research & development equipment emergency needs.
  • Must be willing to work in Second and Third shifts per assignment.
  • May need to drive company vehicle if necessary.
  • Manage Spare Parts.
