About The Position
Perimeter Healthcare is a leading provider of mental and behavioral healthcare, delivering hope through comprehensive treatment programs across multiple states and care settings. Their services include inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient counseling. Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking an experienced, full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and healing environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Two (2) years of technical or trade school preferred.
- Experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment.
- Ensuring proper safety precautions.
- Maintenance experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
- Successful completion of training in BLS and Handle with Care within 30 days of employment.
- Must be available to attend a full week of hospital orientation upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance, HVAC, and tests/inspections of the facility.
- Clean and change air filters as part of the preventive maintenance program.
- Dispose of infectious/contaminated waste from the facility.
- Maintain facility grounds in a neat and attractive appearance.
- Maintain all light fixtures in good working condition and change light bulbs as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance electrical tests and assist with the removal, installation, and repair of mechanical/electrical equipment under supervision.
- Perform various janitorial duties as needed.
- Ensure proper tag out and lock out procedures when working on equipment.
- Comply with infection control measures, OSHA regulations, and Safety/Risk Management Plans, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in assuring a safe and risk-preventive environment.
- Use time constructively and in an organized manner.
- Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel, and standard policies and procedures.
- Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
- Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
