Requirements

2nd Shift: FS Further Processing Dept. 1852 - Maintenance Technician
Shift Hours: Wed - Sun, 4:00p - 5:00a
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $27.50/Based on assessment.

Responsibilities

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment and piping/electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments
Visually inspects machinery and support equipment prior to use
Test machinery and supporting equipment after repair and prior to use
Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause
Listens for unusual sounds
Feels for unusual vibration
Communicates with users regarding variation specifics
Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus (transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components) of machinery and supporting equipment
Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
Repairs and maintains physical structure(s) of the establishment
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Sets up and operates machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill and milling machinery to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools
Other duties as assigned
