About The Position

A privately held, family -owned manufacturer producing mission -critical components for the defense, medical, and aerospace industries is expanding its maintenance team. This is a hands -on technical role in a modern, climate -controlled production environment where the work directly supports national security and life-saving technology. If you have the technical discipline to keep complex industrial equipment running — and the judgment to do it on your own when the shift calls for it — this role was built for veterans like you.

Requirements

  • Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with demonstrated proficiency across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems
  • Electrical experience up to 480V — installation, troubleshooting, and repair
  • PLC familiarity — input/output diagnostics and repair (programming not required)
  • Mechanical troubleshooting — hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves (willing to train strong electrical candidates on the mechanical side)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Comfort with precision measuring tools
  • Strong independent troubleshooting skills and a safety -first mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/tech school certification preferred
  • Reliable personal transportation (required — work is split across two nearby facilities)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems — including PLCs (input/output diagnostics), drives, and power supplies up to 480V
  • Diagnose and correct failures in production equipment with minimal downtime, working independently once trained
  • Plan and execute maintenance work applying knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, and equipment operating principles
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment in full compliance with OSHA and site safety procedures
  • Operate the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage work orders, log repairs, and track equipment history
  • Execute preventive maintenance on a defined schedule and maintain accurate performance records
  • Move between two facilities located approximately 10 minutes apart — reliable personal transportation required
