About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support equipment at its Easton, Pennsylvania site. The role maintains and repairs electro-mechanical equipment and facility systems used in medical waste processing, including robotic washlines, autoclaves, and boilers. Travel to regional sites and occasional short-notice emergency maintenance support are required.

Daniels Health provides reusable medical waste containers intended to reduce needlestick injuries and support sustainability. It cleans and sanitizes containers for reuse and responsibly disposes of medical waste at treatment facilities through a closed-loop system focused on safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.

The position is permanent, full-time, and Monday through Friday. Compensation is $29.27–$40.13 per hour, depending on candidate-specific factors. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is paid in three installments: $2,000 after 30 days, $2,000 after 90 days, and $2,000 after six months of employment. The role includes travel and emergency support at regional sites.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical experience with assemblies and production equipment.
• Welding skills for basic repair work.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and communicate issues with PLC-controlled machines.
• Experience with boilers.
• Willingness to travel and respond to emergency maintenance needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in medical waste processing or a similar regulated environment.
• Experience with autoclaves.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems such as MaintainX.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot, service, and repair on-site electro-mechanical systems.
• Communicate with Service and Engineering teams about parts, scheduling, and support.
• Assemble, align, and install equipment upgrades within timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate maintenance downtime with Plant Managers.
• Provide weekly reports on completed and pending tasks.
• Provide remote assistance to plants to help restore production quickly.
• Maintain Washsmart inventory at each location in collaboration with plant management.
