About The Position

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Artline and Reflections Apartments in Washington, DC. You will help uphold “People First” philosophy by ensuring our communities remain clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, tenants, and guests. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience, ideally in property or community management.
  • Broad knowledge of building systems: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., perform physical tasks (bending, climbing, kneeling), and work indoors/outdoors in various conditions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification and CFC certification or relevant trade license strongly preferred.
  • Experience with property management or maintenance software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of routine and preventive maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs. You will have very solid experience with performing routine repairs and service on PTAC units.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and emergencies, including participating in after-hours on-call rotations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to maintain TBC’s high standards.
  • Maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds-including trash removal, landscaping, and snow/ice removal as needed.
  • Document work performed, manage inventory of supplies, and ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with property management and other team members on special projects and unit turnovers.
  • Communicate courteously with residents, staff, vendors, and contractors, reflecting TBC’s commitment to service and professionalism.
  • Uphold the dress code and represent the company’s values of integrity and respect
