Whether it's a perfectly functioning guest room, beautifully maintained grounds, a welcoming lobby, or a guest issue resolved with urgency, our Maintenance Team quietly creates the foundation that allows exceptional hospitality to happen. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and understands that every repair contributes to the guest experience. Our goal is simple: To make a difference in people's lives through service. Guests don't remember every interaction they have during their stay-but they absolutely remember how their room felt, how the building was cared for, and whether everything simply worked. At Reikart House, every ambassador contributes to that experience. Maintenance isn't just fixing things. It's protecting the story we're trying to tell.
Requirements
- Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and organized
- Able to prioritize multiple projects throughout the day
- Friendly and professional when interacting with guests
- Willing to learn and continually develop new skills
Nice To Haves
- Experienced in hotel, apartment, commercial building, or general maintenance (preferred but not required)
- Available to work occasional weekends, holidays, or emergency situations as needed
Responsibilities
- Complete guest room maintenance and repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
- Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, doors, locks, furniture, and general building systems
- Assist with seasonal maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, and exterior upkeep
- Help maintain pools, mechanical equipment, boilers, and life safety systems as needed
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized maintenance shops and storage areas
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and cosmetic improvements
- Identify maintenance concerns before they become guest issues
- Follow all OSHA, safety, and hotel operating procedures
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences
