About The Position

The maintenance technician in our solar manufacturing supports the maintenance team in ensuring the effective operation and upkeep of manufacturing equipment, systems, and facilities. They assist with preventive maintenance tasks, equipment troubleshooting, and repair activities to minimize downtime and maintain a safe and efficient production environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in maintenance activities.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills required.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Ability to work 12-hour shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule, alternating day/night to night/day every two weeks.

Nice To Haves

Additional vocational training or certifications in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred. Entry-level candidates are also considered.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or machinery.
Follow maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and technical issues.
Support facility maintenance activities, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
Assist in managing spare parts inventory.
Maintain records of maintenance activities.
