About The Position

Packaging Corporation of America is hiring a multicraft Maintenance Technician for its Akron, Ohio manufacturing operation. The role involves industrial maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and working with production and maintenance colleagues. Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multicraft skills.
• Ability to work the assigned third shift.
• Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience in corrugated packaging, printing, converting, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and restore equipment quickly and safely.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Work closely with production staff and other maintenance team members.
• Expand technical skills through paid training and advancement programs.
