About The Position
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Clinton Township, MI. This role is ideal for individuals with property maintenance experience or those who are handy with light carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work. We value honesty, a desire to learn, and a strong work ethic over formal licenses and certifications. You will play a key role in delivering great housing value to our residents and communities.
Requirements
- Commitment to learn, work hard and be honest.
- Working knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing and/or electrical.
- Ability to work independently or with other Maintenance Technicians on any and all tasks.
- To be a good steward of the company’s equipment, tools, supplies, etc.
- Demonstrate to our residents that we care deeply about presenting the best community possible.
- To pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving record check.
Nice To Haves
- 6+ months experience in any trade preferred.
Responsibilities
- Routine maintenance of rental units and assisting in refurbishing of make-ready homes, including painting, cleaning, light carpentry / plumbing / electrical work
- Maintaining property grounds
- Assist in coverage of the after-hours maintenance emergency line
- Maintain and keep working areas clean and organized.
Benefits
- $20.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience
- Quarterly bonus potential of up to $200
