About The Position

A Maintenance Technician performs various tasks including general, preventive, and emergency maintenance of the hotel. This includes work in restaurants, front desk, rooms, parking, lobbies, casino, restrooms, and elevators. The role involves responding to guest calls and work orders, logging and following up on them, and repairing or replacing equipment. Troubleshooting problems and maintaining a safe work environment are crucial. The position requires lifting and carrying materials of varying distances and heights. The technician will also follow cleaning schedules and procedures, collect and dispose of waste, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies. Reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor and adhering to health and safety regulations are also key responsibilities. Performing related and/or other duties as required is part of the role.

Requirements

Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, exhaust fans, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers.
Ability to perform repairs to equipment in the hotel, kitchen, and laundry areas.
Ability to maintain swimming pools to meet health code requirements.
Ability to perform general landscaping.
Ability to operate power tools and equipment following proper safety requirements.
Good writing skills.
Good communication skills.
Good customer relations skills.
Must be polite and courteous at all times when in direct contact with guests.

Responsibilities

Perform general, preventive, and emergency maintenance of the hotel.
Respond to guest calls and work orders.
Log and follow-up on work orders and complete paperwork.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning equipment.
Troubleshoot problems.
Maintain a safe work environment for oneself, co-workers, and guests.
Lift and carry materials as required for job duties.
Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Collect, transport, and properly store or dispose of trash, soiled linens, and biohazardous waste.
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
