About The Position

The Skilled Maintenance Technician maintains, diagnoses, and repairs manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous, safe production. This multi-craft role performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and facilities, ensuring work meets high safety standards and supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

The position is based at JCB’s San Antonio facility. Work takes place in a manufacturing/factory environment and may involve different shifts, weekends, noise, temperature changes, hot or cold climates, and dust. The schedule must be flexible and may include Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The role requires physical activity including lifting, repetitive movement, reaching, pushing and pulling, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and extended standing; work on elevated access platforms may be needed. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests conducted in accordance with applicable law.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform continuous, repetitive physical activities, including fine movements or large motions; grasp or pinch small items; reach out and up; and turn the wrist.
• Ability to keep pace with current production speed and push or pull with reasonable force.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in multiple climates, including hot and cold temperatures and dusty environments; may need to work on elevated access platforms.
• Close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project.
• Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for U.S. employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience with equipment such as lasers, robots, presses, conveyors, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Experience with fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, and machining.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical maintenance expertise, a safety-focused mindset, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, dynamic environment as a self-motivated team player.
• Collaborative approach to resolving issues across groups and ability to understand processes, troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs.
• Work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems.
• Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
• Record maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions.
• Identify recurring issues and support root cause analysis.
• Ensure all work meets health and safety and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
