About The Position

Quality Industries is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for their facility in LaVergne, TN. This is a full-time position. As a Maintenance Technician, you may be required to perform tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds, installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems on all production machines, equipment, and the building.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Three (3) to five (5) years at a minimum preferred

  • Completion of vocational training and/or an apprenticeship

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance duties on building and machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the machines.
  • Assist in servicing and replacing minor plumbing fixtures.
  • Perform minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician such as replacing light bulbs and fuses.
  • Assist in minor carpentry and repair work.
  • Maintain machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling to ensure optimum working order.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and stain to all types of surfaces in order to protect and beautify surfaces using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Follow Plant specified job specification and task list.
  • Report non-conformity product.
  • Timely and responsive reports and documents.
  • Specified and accurate inspections and measurements.
  • Meeting safety performance targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
