The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, removing, and replacing various electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and optic systems. This role involves pre-inspecting parts and equipment, communicating with the Maintenance Manager, reading programmable controller information, and diagnosing/repairing AC and DC motor controls. The technician will also replace components like belts, pulleys, and bearings, communicate with other plant personnel, accurately log work performed, maintain a clean work area, and operate a forklift. Additionally, the role includes performing preventative maintenance, cleaning and lubricating machinery, modifying, repairing, and rebuilding plant machinery, and performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills. The technician will visually inspect and solve problems with machines and equipment, document repairs, and perform other related duties. Potential duties may include fabrication, installation, building maintenance, and general facility repairs, as well as the installation and relocation of new equipment.
