About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of a mixed-use property (industrial and office) in Montreal. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
Experience in general building maintenance, basic repairs, and systems operations.
Hands-on experience with residential repair work.
Must be bilingual (French/English)

Nice To Haves

Experience working with or supervising contractors is an asset.
Familiarity with Angus Anywhere or similar Building Management Systems is considered an asset.
Working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (e.g., WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, mold remediation) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, including entrances, walkways, and facilities (e.g., shoveling, cleaning).
Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment; report required maintenance or repairs to the Operations Supervisor or Property Manager.
Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, such as plumbing, interior systems (ceiling tiles, walls) breaker resets, light replacements, and lock changes.
Perform preventive maintenance and regulatory inspection, such as, but not limited to, Fire and Life & safety equipments, generators, etc.
Ensure contracted property services meet performance standards and contribute to a safe and clean environment.
Use the Building Management Software System (Angus Anywhere or other) to respond promptly to tenant work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
Conduct weekly inspections of vacant units and report any unusual conditions.
Assist with contractor access to properties and coordinate site tours as needed.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; provide recommendations to the Property Manager.
Oversee third-party contractors to ensure work is completed in accordance with contracts or purchase orders.
Complete regular utility meter readings.
