About The Position

We currently have a night shift opening for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician ($32.85-$41.59 per hour) for our Newark, OH Facility. This position will require three to six months of training on a day shift schedule before moving to night shift. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Three years minimum experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including; motors, servos, pumps, three phase power, communication devices, industrial/electrical controls, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings, blue prints, and schematics.
  • Ability to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic components.
  • Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.
  • Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to all projects large and small.
  • Ability to climb overhead structures; work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to twelve hours.
  • Ability to lift up to forty pounds.
  • Successful candidate must pass standardized International Paper pre-employment testing in place for Maintenance positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical experience
  • Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Advanced knowledge of variable frequency drives, human machine interfaces, boiler experience, and fabrication skills are preferred.
  • Maintenance experience in corrugated is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary duties include providing safe and timely mechanical support, Preventative Maintenance, lubrication, repair, mechanical troubleshooting, and resolution of basic operational operations of machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.
  • Conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic components in effort to determine the equipment malfunction and restoring to operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment; responsible for proper waste disposal.
  • Troubleshooting and ability to prioritize work.
