About The Position

The Coater Technician is responsible for handling and processing glass in a safe and efficient manner, performing equipment checks and preventative maintenance prior to shift start, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment through 5S. The role requires professional conduct with co-workers and accountability for actions. The technician must be able to comprehend the coater schedule and perform any reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate and good organizational skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must be proactive and able to think quickly on his/her feet.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment.
• Position requires regular, in-person attendance at the plant.
• Ability to work with and as part of a team including but not limited to the Plant Manager, managers, employees throughout Cardinal, and vendor partnerships.
• Ability to exercise good judgement in decision making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the plant team, Cardinal and other company relationships.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct, exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
