Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
About The Position
The Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for keeping all building and equipment in good repair, minimizing downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance, and performing preventative maintenance of the hotel. The Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee’s largest hotel, connected to the Baird Center, offering 729 guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel prides itself on continuous innovation through its approach to world-class service, upscale amenities, and superior style.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
- Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action, implement solutions and work as an independent mechanic.
- Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
- Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
Nice To Haves
- Previous engineering experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CFC Certification for Refrigerant handling and Power Engineering Training Program certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily shift reports including documenting all calls in the Engineer’s log, monitoring and closing out calls through Operator.
- Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.
- Maintain building interior and exterior.
- Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all FF&E.
- Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain all building and FF&E, HVAC, Electrical systems, Mechanical equipment, Plumbing and drains, and Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
