About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role would report to the Facilities and Safety Manager, and would perform a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the manufacturing equipment and facilities. These tasks are vital to the safety and efficiency of the manufacturing team, and to the quality of the finished product. The ideal candidate will understand the need for timely and consistent completion of tasks. They will also be comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, performing urgent repairs or day-to-day preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • Experience in a facilities and/or manufacturing maintenance role
  • Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills
  • Basic finish skills, including paint and drywall
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks for 8 hours/day
  • Ability to work occasional overtime/weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns
  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience reporting task completion through a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
  • Certifications in any facilities discipline, particularly mechanical, electrical, or plumbing
  • First aid/CPR certification
  • Forklift experience/certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment, including cleaning, calibrations, inspections, testing, etc
  • Manage and perform reactive maintenance as needed
  • Develop and execute improvement initiatives for minimizing equipment downtime, improving team efficiency, etc.
  • Assist the Facilities and Safety Manager in managing various site projects, including meeting with contractors and performing administrative work
  • Assemble/move furniture and equipment as needed
