About The Position

EcoFleet, in joint venture with LAZ Parking, operates the stand-alone maintenance division supporting the consolidated bussing services contract at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This division supports a fleet of approximately 195 transit buses, cutaways, and support vehicles across CNG, diesel, gasoline, and EV platforms. We are seeking B-level technicians, who are intermediate shop-based technicians performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and standard repairs across the DFW bus fleet, working under the direction of A-level technicians and lead technicians. This role is the core of our PM production and the primary development path to A level. We offer a career path with a company that invests in its employees and is growing nationally.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to adapt to new technologies, follow instructions attentively, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • ASE certifications preferred (A or T series); we welcome candidates with 3+ years of practical technician experience and will pay for certifications.
  • Experience with diesel, CNG, EV, or hybrid powertrains preferred.
  • Air brake experience preferred; Class B CDL a plus (company-paid CDL program available).
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills; shop software experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license; must pass a federal background check and DFW airport badging requirements.
  • 2–5 years of equivalent technician experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PM inspections (PMA 7,500-mile and PMI cycles), brake jobs, suspension repairs, cooling system repairs, and standard electrical repairs on transit buses and cutaways.
  • Assist A-level technicians on advanced diagnostics and alternative-fuel/EV work as part of structured development.
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools, vehicle lifts, and tire equipment safely.
  • Utilize a company-supplied laptop and Fleetio VMS for service writing, documentation, and online training; complete all documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Respond to all service calls promptly; support road-call and pull-out coverage as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean working environment in the shop and in customer vehicles; adhere to all safety protocols and scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to maximize repair efficiency; provide feedback to management to enhance repair procedures.
