About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, working with manufacturing equipment throughout the facility, and contributing to a strong team environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Approximately two to three years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge with proven troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics and use maintenance tools and equipment proficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with dependable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school, trade school, apprenticeship experience, or relevant certification is highly valued.
  • Experience working with multiple types of manufacturing equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address maintenance needs.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
